easyJet has officially announced the opening of a new seasonal base at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport in Spain, scheduled to commence operations in spring 2025. The airline will base three Airbus A320 family aircraft at the airport, expanding its presence in the Spanish market.

This development is expected to create around 100 direct jobs for pilots and cabin crew, supporting easyJet’s continued growth in southern Europe. The new base will enable the airline to offer additional routes and increased frequencies to popular destinations across Europe.
