Airbus has delivered its first A321neo assembled at the new final assembly line in Toulouse, France. The aircraft was handed over to Pegasus Airlines, marking a milestone in Airbus's efforts to expand single-aisle production capacity. The repurposed facility will help meet rising demand for the A321neo and support Airbus's global production goals.
Airbus has delivered the first A321neo aircraft assembled at its newly established final assembly line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. The delivery marks a significant step in Airbus's strategy to increase production capacity for the A321neo, the largest member of the A320 Family.
The Toulouse FAL, previously used for A380 production, has been repurposed to support growing demand for single-aisle aircraft. The first aircraft, an A321neo, was delivered to Pegasus Airlines, a Turkish low-cost carrier, in July 2023.
This development is part of Airbus's broader plan to ramp up A320 Family production rates globally, with additional assembly lines in Hamburg, Mobile, and Tianjin. The Toulouse line is expected to play a key role in meeting customer demand and supporting Airbus's industrial strategy.
